JV BEATS CASTLEBERRY!

Your Junior Varsity Western Hills Football team had an amazing redemption win, winning 38-16 against the Castleberry JV Lions. Castleberry started out with the first score of the game, but the Cougars adjusted and made it one of their only two scores for four quarters. After Castleberry’s score Jaqualain Daniel answered with a strong 65 yard run down the sideline that was accompanied by a two point conversion by Jeremiah Stripling to make the score 8-8. The Defense stepped up with Terrence Brown, Samuel Kimble and Noel Watson putting a full stop to anything Castleberry tried to do. Late in the second quarter the cougars were pinned on the 4 yard line after a big goalline stop by the defense when Jaqualain Daniel broke another big run for a score to give the Cougars a 16-8 lead. The Cougars took over with Jeremiah Stribling scoring twice more and Mike Allen once in the second half to give the Cougars the win 38-16. The Western Hills JV Cougars now look to playing Lake Worth next week on Thursday.
