Your varsity Cougars fell to 5-3 on the season with a loss to the district leader lake Worth Bullfrogs on Friday night. For a half, we gave them everything we had and were only trailing 13-6 at the intermission. The lone score came from D'Anton Davis on a five-yard plunge for a touchdown. The offense moved the ball well and had two long drives that ate the clock and kept their offense on the sideline. We knew we would have to play a near perfect game to keep us in the contest, and the first half we did a great job at doing just that.

The second half started with us getting the ball rolling, but some mistakes kept us from ever really getting started in the second half. We definitely shot ourselves in the foot a couple of times and got behind pretty quickly ending up with a final score of 42-6.

Tyreke Lewis continued to be a work horse for the offense carrying the ball 19 times for 98 yards. Keyon Butler had 86 yards rushing and 48 yards passing. Armani Perry-Brown was the leading receiver with 3 catches for 20 yards. Love Willis led all tacklers with 3 solo and 12 assisted tackles. Cam Hawkins was the second leading tackler with 4 solo and 4 assists.

We kickoff against Kennedale this Saturday morning at 11 am. It will be senior day at Farrington field, and we would love to see you there.
